| Paul Grover, Director of the Solent Centre for Architecture and Design, enthused the audience when he addressed the delegates at the Southern Comfort meeting on Saturday 14th October at Portsmouth Guildhall. The exchange revealed much in common and was instructive and comforting. An article for the Civic Trust magazine was headed 'Southern Comfort' and the title stuck. Each year the meeting is hosted by different amenity society and all civic societies in the region are cordially invited to attend. Southern Comfort 2007 ... Two societies expressed an interest in running next year's meeting although we have no further details at present.
