Pompey Stadium and Village The new South East Regional Design Panel was unhappy with the design of the Pompey Stadium and Village. We agree. We are not against a new stadium for Portsmouth FC, nor are we against associated development, but we do ask for a design of quality, for improvements to the environment, and for significant enhancements to the transport infrastructure. PFI for Roads Rebuilding and Maintenance Sometimes it is good to be a pioneer, but experience elsewhere suggests that trailblazing PFI schemes are best left to others. Trafalgar House Mural - A Portsmouth Treasure but dimly revealed We're delighted that Eric Rimmington's mural in the new Lloyds No 1 Bar in Edinburgh Road (The Trafalgar) has been preserved, but we give it 5 out of 10 for presentation. Determination of Planning Applications Once upon-a-time, most planning applications went to the Planning Committee for determination. These days, even major schemes can be approved without reference to them. Kate Crowley's Fund A fund has been set up in memory of Kate to help the young and disadvantaged.
