	Northern Quarter Planning Application
News Earlier news Events	The detail plans for the Northern Quarter (reserved matters) are now available for public inspection and comment. Details of the application are : Planning reference number: 08/00099/REM Closing date for comments: 15 February 2008 Location: Land Fronting Cascades Shopping Centre (south), Market Way (West), Andrew Bell Street (North), and Commercial Road (East), forming part of the Northern Quarter Development Site Portsmouth Hants Description: Reserved Matters Submission for the redevelopment of the site for the following: Construction of: retail units (CLASS A1-A5) (68,964.5 SQ M); Leisure units (CLASS D2) (2,089 SQ M); 200 residential units, including affordable; multi-level car park (2,300 SPACES), including link bridges; Basement service area; centre management suite, public toilets and shopmobility unit; Public realm, including new streets and spaces. landscaping of public realm areas and of residential amenity areas. Note: it may take a few days before the drawings are loaded onto the online planning system. The plans are also available to view at the Civic Offices reception desk in the Guildhall Square. The Portsmouth Society will be scrutinising the plans and will submit comments in the coming weeks..
